Connecting kids to fun and friendship out on our estate

We believe in reaching local people where they’re at. That’s why we make sure to connect with our community in the streets. In partnership with Phoenix Detached Youth Project, we deliver Street Play sessions to young people in the estates surrounding our centre. Whether your kids are 6 or 16, there’s fun to be had for children of all ages.

When and where

The location and time vary for our Street Play session. However, they will always take place in streets around our estate. To find out when and where the next session is, head over to our Facebook page, or keep an eye on our weekly timetable.

Cost

All street play sessions are FREE to enjoy.

What we offer

Fun and new friendships

COVID-19 left a lot of us feeling disconnected. Many people are still dealing with the aftereffects of this difficult time, including children. Our sessions are the perfect place for them to build lasting friendships.

More movement and better mental health

There’s no better place for kids to be than outdoors getting active. Street Play sessions use nature and movement so your children can maintain healthy minds.

A safe and supportive space on our streets

Our dedicated workers and volunteers create an encouraging, nurturing environment for young people to thrive. Through Street Play, we want children of all ages to feel supported and grow in confidence.

Street sports and games

From cricket and rounders to footy and rugby, there are plenty of sporty activities to keep your kids active. Who knows? Could we find the next Ben Stokes or Alan Shearer on the streets of Meadow Well?

How to get your child involved and book their place

First, we’ll advertise on our Facebook Page where and when the sessions will be. Then, all you need to do is come along and register your child on the day.
