We've all experienced the recent drop in temperatures over the last couple of weeks and as more people worry about the cost of heating their homes alongside other living costs increasing, we're pleased to be part of North Tyneside's Warm Welcome initiative.

Over 100 locations across the borough offer a place for people to meet, have a cuppa or bowl of soup and enjoy other activities.

Officially, our Warm Welcome at The Meadows takes place on a Monday from 10am to 3pm, but there are other groups and activities each day that people are welcome to join.

A full list of venues, opening times and activities can be found here.

Do you have any tips or hints you can share with others to help make money go further? Perhaps you’d like to help cook some hearty soup we can share with the wider community? Perhaps you have some great ideas for making Christmas gifts or decorations? Maybe you’d like to knit some hats or blankets but don’t have the wool?

If this sounds like you, then pop along on a Monday and speak to any member of staff about how you can help and, in turn, help others.

Remember to look out for neighbours who may be struggling and encourage them to come to the centre.
