A Big Thank You

Our area has been long in development, having had assistance from other organisations over the last three years, but we have never been able to get it manageable for our adult daycare clients to use safely.

The team arrived in the morning and with introductions over and a brief outline of the task they got stuck in with gusto. After only a couple of hours the areas overrunning with grass and debris were cleared and made safe to access,  they then went on to make the area presentable, planting new bedding plants three trees and lining a pond plus creating a path and planting new wildflower beds.

All of the work the work was carried out using recycled materials and basic tools, but the result was a life-changing event for the joinery workshop clients.

We have for a long time wanted to use this space as an outdoor classroom and a place for mental wellbeing and are pleased to say this has now been achieved.

The Virgin Money staff worked tirelessly with commitment and, at the same time, a positive mood full of humour, creating a very memorable day for our Joinery Tutor and our clients. We can’t thank them enough and were so pleased that the sun was shining for them.
